So Karli will be two this week! It is so hard to believe how quickly the last two years have flown by. She has grown so much and is truly the light of our lives! She is learning something new every day and developing quite the "personality" (guess that is part of being 2)! Sunday we had her party...she was soooo excited and spent all morning saying "We are having a party!"
Pop-pop and Grandma Sue made it home from Florida just in time for the party! Karli was thrilled to see them and loved the picnic table they gave to her. It will be perfect for summer days out back.
Karli is blessed to have such a loving/caring family. She was definitely spoiled by her grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins!
Not to mention how spoiled she is by her father. Karli loves Elmo right now, so I casually mentioned that we should get her an Elmo cake. Somehow, that turned into Scott saying he would make and decorate the cake. He insisted he had "professional" experience since he spent many hours when he was a boy helping his mom make cakes. So....Scott was in charge of the cake. After many hours of work, late into the night, this was the finished product. Looked pretty "professional" to me, but I shouldn't be surprised...Scott is quite the perfectionist!
Karli LOVED her cake! Our nephews and nieces were pretty impressed too!

That smile makes all the preparation worth it! We had a wonderful day! Thanks to everyone for celebrating with us!
